Wood Type Aplphabets Edited by Rob Roy Kelly
  1. The shift from using calligraphic forms to harder, more mechanical forms came around the time of the industrial revolution.  The change was made to reflect the new technology that was used to make them.
  2. Kelly helped develop a series of his favorite wood type fonts into digital fonts for Adobe in the 1990s.
  3. Kelly sold off his collection to the librarian for The Museum of Modern Art in New York, who later sold it to the University of Texas.
  4. The industry of wood cut production declined significantly around the end of the 20th century.
