So this close up of a magazine article shows intense rivers around photo, which could have been avoided.

If the article was indented under flush left/ragged right, the type would still go around the image without creating awkward spaces in the narrow columns. The picture probably cannot be resized because the caption written in seems to be only a size or two bigger than the copy font so a FL/RR body copy layout is needed instead of a justified indention
