Artist's Statement:
"Artists create intimate extensions of themselves and expose them, hoping for people to love and covet it. Sometimes our surroundings and influences can be daunting and weighty and we must shut the proverbial light on our surroundings in order to quietly meditate with ourselves.

The "you" in this piece is the outside world - happenings, strifes, thoughts and emotions that can weigh on our minds. The "me" is the individual that presses the restart button with meditation and clarity."

My Thoughts:
When I saw this I interpreted it as "you are reflected are reflected in me" with 'me' being the central point of interest and the more important aspect since it is electric and lit up in color, a word with a pulse. I enjoy the solidarity of the 'you' since it is materialized in steel, however the thought that it is reflected gives it more of a softer side, and duality in meaning. Like 'you' whoever or whatever it is has multiple personalities.
